Acerca del evento
The City of San Marcos invites residents to attend the annual Community Preparedness Fair on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Community Center (1 Civic Center Drive).
Held in recognition of National Preparedness Month, the free, family-friendly event will connect community members with local agencies, safety experts, and preparedness partners to promote safety, resilience, and readiness. Resources will be available in both English and Spanish to ensure all residents have access to vital information.
This year’s fair will feature the Big Shaker earthquake simulator, giving attendees a realistic, hands-on experience of a large-scale quake. Participants can learn how to build an emergency kit, get tips on protecting their families during disasters, and meet representatives from the San Marcos Fire Department. Home Depot will also host a free kids’ craft activity.
